Snails are often seen as spiritual symbols that remind us to be patient and persistent, and to enjoy the journey. Their shells also represent the cyclical patterns of life, death and rebirth. But ultimately, snails are just very cool creatures!
This gorgeous gastropod has been hand forged from sheet silver and has a slight convex to the shell. The body has been given a satin sheen while the highly polished shell has been planished for definition. There is a short sterling silver ear post and scroll fastening on the back to afix to clothing - this type is much easier to attach than traditional brooch fastenings.
As this pin is entirely handmade with hand tools, it bears the honesty marks of such craftsmanship and will not have the immaculate finish you would see on an item from a High Street jeweller. This is because mass produced objects are designed to be the same every time and are factory-finished with industrial machines. With this item, you are buying something truly unique and which honours the time and talent that has gone into creating them.
