Meet Heather, a small Highland Cow with a big personality.
Heather is a smaller, unframed version of my needle-felted "Heilan' Coos."
She was inspired by the wild, purple hills of Scotland, which you can see reflected in the hazy heather-toned background behind her.
I've given her a particularly magnificent fringe using long, ginger wool fibers and hand-sculpted her little horns and nose to give her that classic, curious expression. Because she's handmade, Heather is completely unique-no two cows ever come out with the same hairstyle!
The Details:
Size: The wool art itself measures approximately 11 x 12cm (5 x 4.5") and with the mount it is 17cm x 17cm (7 x 7") big. If you include the mount it fits a standard Hobbycraft frame (as shown in the photo example).
Materials: Merino wool and natural unspun fibers.
Presentation: This piece is unframed and unmounted. She's perfect for a small box frame, or you could even prop her up on a miniature wooden easel on a bookshelf.
Gift Idea: Heather makes a lovely, tactile gift for a cow lover or a small "thinking of you" token that fits right through a letterbox.
