White topaz is usually transparent and can contain rainbow inclusions due to light refracting within the stone. The best white topaz can be found in locations in Brazil (where these particular stones are from) but can also be found in Australia, parts of the US, Namibia and Mexico. White, or colourless topaz is associated with the third eye chakra and thought to unlock the power and meanings behind dreams.

First thing to say, the colour of these pearls is completely natural and un-enhanced! It's only in the last year or so that I've really started to use pearls in my jewellery, not really knowing much about them I just assumed they'd all be shades of cream or white. I didn't know it was possible to find freshwater pearls that occur naturally in pastel colours, so when I came across this pale lilac strand, I knew they would go well with a tiny sparkle of topaz.
For these handmade earrings, I've set each pearl on a sterling silver headpin and topped them with a 3mm faceted white topaz stone and sterling silver spacer beads. As always, I've used 925 sterling silver earring hooks to finish.
