This design began with a memory—three terriers watching the world from our bay window, waiting for something magical. I painted the illustration in 2021, when the world slowed and I returned to watercolour. The poem came later, stitched with festive mischief and love, echoing the rhythm of ’Twas the Night Before Christmas. These cards are a tribute to Earl, Red, and Georgie Jack Rascal, and the cosy glow of Thatched Cottage at Christmas.

Send a little festive magic this season with my Waiting for Santa Paws Christmas cards. Each card features a print of my original ink and watercolour illustration, inspired by our old Thatched Cottage where Earl, Red, our mischievous Border Terriers, and Georgie Jack Rascal would perch by the bay window, waiting for something magical on Christmas Eve.
Inside, the right-hand side carries the cheerful message: “Have a Pawsome Christmas!” while the left-hand side includes my original festive poem, tailored from ’Twas the Night Before Christmas but with terriers and tail wags instead of reindeer and sleighs.
Printed in the UK on premium Rives Shetland cardstock (148 x 148 mm), these cards have a bright white, weave-like texture that feels both luxurious and tactile. Each set includes three cards, paired with matching gold envelopes to add a touch of sparkle to your seasonal greetings.
