The Woodland Wizard was my second spirit doll creation (coming straight after the Sun, Stars and Music Goddess doll).
I based this wise man of the woods upon my husband who is most certainly similar in looks and hobbies to this woolly representation ;-)
I stumbled into needle felting almost two years ago and have created many felted dolls and animals since then. When I work with the beautiful wool (that I source from a local farm who specialise in raising rare breeds sheep and goats) it seems that the spirit of the doll or animal I am working with shows itself to me very early on which allows me to form the character and story around each piece whilst I create.

This listing is for a detailed, and unique needle felted spirit doll called "The Woodland Wizard".
The Woodland Wizard lives in Red Squirrel Woods where he is able to enjoy all types of bushcraft and off-grid living.
He is a serious and wise old fellow with long wild hair and a bushy beard. He sports tribal tattoos on his arm and wears a rustic woodsman's shirt and a unique crystal pendant around his neck.
He carries a satchel in which he can place any foraged items he finds. He also has a removable hooded coat to keep him warm on chilly early morning walks. He carries with him a long wooden staff. Music is an important tool for this gentle soul and his clothing shows a musical note along with the bass clef symbol.
