ABOUT THESE PRINTS
Unlike Gicl e or pigment ink based fine art printing, Sinterix (or sinterescent printing) is a process based on a heat-suffused sintered powder application to the paper. Sinterescent prints are characterised by extremely high image quality and can be printed at very high resolution to bring up extremely fine detail
COMPARISON TO GICLEE PRINTS
Gicl e essentially means 'sprayed ink' and is a process slightly different from droplet based inkjet. It was intended to make a faux high-res effect, initially, or a more-like-a-painting effect. To be created properly they should have a proper archival grade paper and archival or pigment inks and be crafted so individually as almost to stand in place of an original work, and be sold as such.
