Once I had discovered the art of mandala painting on pebbles (which was great fun by the way) I wanted to use my new found skills to create something bigger and more challenging.
A lot of the images that I copied whilst practising were from books and photos, but this particular creation was something that I developed in my own style but still using the well used Fibonacci sequence. I’m a little bit wayward with my dotting style and often get carried away when creating a pattern and it just grows and grows!
I just love looking into the depths of this picture and feeling drawn into the pattern.
I call it Tranquil Bliss as that is just how it makes me feel….

Full description
This particular piece of artwork is based on the Fibonacci technique of mandala painting.
Using thousands of small dots in a specific sequence to give a 3 dimensional design.
I have used acrylic paints in white and varying shades of Pink on a circular canvas.
The canvas has been mounted onto a copper based frame wrapped in twine which appears ropelike and gives an open style to the outer section of the painting which has been varnished to protect the finish.
The canvas itself has a 30cm diameter with the total including frame being 36cm
The reverse of the canvas has been covered in felt to soften and tidy the look.
