Angelite is more commonly found in shades of pale blue (also known as blue anhydrite) but occasionally the presence of chromium in its chemical composition creates more of a pale green. Originally discovered in Peru, the stone has now been found in other locations worldwide including the UK, although the stones used in this necklace are from Brazil. Green angelite is often thought to be a calming stone which promotes a sense of peace.
Rose quartz is one of the most common varieties of quartz, its light pink colour is due to traces of titanium, manganese and iron that occur naturally in its chemical makeup. It’s the stone that’s most famously associated with love, personal fulfillment and contentment.

A beautiful and truly unique necklace featuring a silver tone filigree bird in flight, surrounded by wire wrapped rose quartz and green angelite stones.
This bird has been lovingly rescued and upcycled from a bag of odds and ends that I found at a craft fair, carefully polished to the best of my ability ready for a new lease of life!
The clasp and all the wire used to link the stones together is silver plated, as well as a 2 inch extender chain finished with a 4mm rose quartz stone.

The necklace including the bird measures 18ins (46cm) with a 2ins (5cm) extender chain, and the bird pendant itself measures approx 7cm x 5cm.
