Full description
Glass enamelled Sterling silver butterfly pendant necklace in purple amethyst colour, on a 18 inch sterling silver chain.
The silver butterfly is soldered onto a silver textured circle pendant finished with a high shine, the pendant is free rotating via a soldered sterling silver jump ring.
The size of the pendant including jump ring, height is 1.8 cm, width 1.3 cm
The pendant is fully hallmarked for sterling silver and includes my makers mark.
The butterfly was hand cut from silver sheet, a circle pendant was made from wire, soldered and given a textured finish, the butterfly was soldered into place and a jump ring made and soldered. This was then sent to sheffield assay office for silver content testing and hallmarking. Once returned to me the butterfly was then enamelled using powdered glass enamel and fired.
The piece was then given a polish.
Care, as with all glass enamelled jewellery care should be taken not to bang or drop your piece as this can damage the glass.
