I've made several hats in this shaded ochre colour of Malabrigo Rasta yarn. But I wanted this one to be a bit different and thought of using blocks of colour. When I put the yarns together I decided that a little slate grey at the base would add an extra touch. I love mixing and matching the colours of yarns to achieve a unique effect. The knitting pattern I used was written for just one colour, so I had to work out how to incorporate the colours into the design. This quality of merino wool is not cheap - an investment piece for sure, but it will give you years of wear and warmth.

Full description
An adult sized beanie hat, hand knit in ethically sourced luxury merino wool. The extra-fine fibres in this premium wool are very soft to touch and non itchy to most people. It's thick enough to keep you warm and cosy, but it's also heat regulating, so you won't overheat.
The hand dyed wools used are slate grey at the base, shades of mustard or ochre and natural white at the top. The swirling texture carries right up onto the crown, which is topped with a large, good quality faux fur pompom in grey and brown with dark tips. Or if you prefer, it also looks great without. This luxury hat comes with a free organza storage bag.
Merino wool is odour resistant, so doesn't need washing as much. Gentle hand-wash only in cold water and dry flat to keep its shape. Remove pom before washing.
