I’ve always been fascinated by the fleeting beauty of butterflies in flight – how something so delicate can appear so full of life and energy. For this piece, I wanted to capture that sense of joyful movement in a static form. The spiral arrangement came from watching butterflies swirl around flowers on a summer’s day, and the blue heart bodies were inspired by vintage love letters—a symbol of affection hidden in plain sight. Each butterfly is hand-cut and positioned to create a sense of depth, turning a simple frame into a little window of wonder.”
