I made ‘Shepherdess’ to express a feeling of being both submissive and nurturing. The soft, warming wool is a heavy mantle. The shearing of sheep is a kindness but also stressful, sometimes painful.
Safety information
Please avoid placing the piece in direct sunlight. Cyanotypes fade in sunlight, although if this happens, you can put it away in the dark for a while and it will get its brights back.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
This is a cyanotype piece on thick watercolour paper, with a little bit of bleaching using soda crystals and tissue collage. This piece on its own is small enough to fit in a 18x24cm frame. But you could also purchase it matted in a frame of my choice. If you purchase frameless, I will ship the work flat with stiff protection. I sometimes use recycled packaging.
