About this Beautiful Deer Art print - "The Glow"
I used pencils and chalk pastels to create this delicate illustration of two red deer basking in a glow of light. The circularity of the piece, as well as the symmetry and mirroring of the deer and trees, creates a peaceful and contemplative feeling.
This drawing was inspired by wonderful walks in Bushy Park (opposite Hampton Court Palace), in which many deer roam freely.
One day, a deer was looking up in this way (she was actually munching on a tree branch!) I liked the shape she made and my photograph of her was the starting point for this piece.
This is a signed, open edition print, with a white border
