Murano glass is handmade on the island of Murano within the Venetian lagoon in Italy. The Murano glass artisans are regarded worldwide as the masters of their art. It is also known as Venetian glass.
Heated glass is hand shaped, then rolled in 24K gold foil while still soft until entirely coated.
Red glass is then added and shaped around the gold foil centre to form the final shape.
The result is almost magical - a bright, vibrant intense colour that seems to glow from within.
Copper really brings out the colour.

Full description
Each striking earring features a 10mm Rubino gold foil Murano glass heart with 3mm copper round beads and a 3x10mm copper tube.
The beads are threaded onto copper pins and hung from copper ear-wires.
These Murano glass hearts are handmade on the island of Murano within the Venetian lagoon in Italy. The Murano glass artisans are regarded worldwide as the masters of their art.
The glass core of the bead is wrapped with 24K gold foil, then encased in glass and shaped to the finished size,
The warmth of the copper brings out the rich colour of the glass.
Handmade in my home workshop here in Devon in the UK, these would make a very special gift for a birthday, anniversary, Christmas, Valentine's day, Mother's Day or as a treat for yourself.
These earrings measure approximately 1.35 inches (3.5cm), excluding the wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
