This is a barrel shaped basket with striking gap handles. Which will bring some nature into your home, and is useful too. I am from an artistic background and really enjoy experimenting with a more sculptural way of weaving shapes.
Each basket is unique with its own natural pattern and shape. Even though the rods are sorted for each style they still weave in their own quirky ways, and some have darker ends or tips creating different colour patterns. Which adds to the fun of not knowing exactly how a basket will turn out.

I use re-usable packaging for postage wherever possible to support the environment.
If your basket is kept in direct sunlight the willow colours will fade over time. Being a natural material the colours soften and become paler.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

A barrel shaped willow basket with gap handles and a round Catalan style base.
Height - 23cm
Width - 35cm (approx)
Width of base frame - 27cm
The basket is made using Old French, Dicky Meadows and Flanders Red willow from Somerset.
The base is made with a frame and willow woven in and out which is based on a Catalan style of weaving.
I used 3ft, 4ft, 5ft and 6ft long willow which would have been counted out, soaked for three to six days, and left to mellow overnight before being woven into this decorative and useful basket
