Amusing Christmas brooch, featuring a retro styled woman who is permanently on the naughty list. Made with a scrap of vintage fabric, appliqued onto green and red wool felt, this fun brooch would be a fabulous Secret Santa gift or stocking filler. Or if the shoe fits, why not buy it for yourself!
Sent wrapped in tissue in a sturdy cardboard box, the brooch is ideal for gifting by post.
I found a small piece of this printed fabric in a bundle of vintage Christmas textile remnants, and carefully fussy cut out each motif so I didn't waste a single scrap. I've paired it up with bright wool felt - blanket stitch machining it to a green layer, before sewing it to the red. The metal brooch bar fastening has a rolling safety lock, and has been securely hand stitched to the back.
The red felt is made by hand in Nepal, and is thicker than standard felt - giving the brooch a robust shape so it sits nicely.
Size: approx 2 inches by 3.5 inches (5cm by 8.5cm).
Placement of the woman, text and flowers will vary in each brooch.
