The idea is to create something new from old, the finished piece isn't meant to be perfect. Instead, retain marks, stains and scratches, part of the original character of the ceramic. All Sterling Silver is either recycled or repurposed.
Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
The idea is to create something new from old, found by chance, full of history and character. To present and deliver unique Eco Friendly gifts in Sustainable Packaging.

Additional terms
All ceramic personally collected from river banks, charity shops, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each item comes with a short bio. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece. Ceramic will show marks, scratches and imperfections, all part of its history and journey.

Full description
I visited Penrith October 2023, where I bought a small box of damaged plates. All sorts of wonderful patterns, including this rich dark blue design, made by Churchill, England since 1795.
I love the depth of colour and over a course of a few days managed to sand and smooth two circles, part of the swirl design. Set into small recycled sterling silver bezel trays, there is a slight difference in depth of the ceramic between the earrings. This is due to the nature of the process and the slight irregular properties of the recycled sterling silver. Not noticeable when worn but to touch you can feel the small difference. This is all part of the uniqueness of the jewellery.
The idea is to create something new from old and use recycled materials to produce individual, distinctive gifts. One off jewellery, unique in every way.
