I was on holiday in Kirriemuir and found this yarn at the local yarn / haberdashery shop called Beacuse of the Birds. I had not seen yarn like this prior and wanted to give it a try. With this type of yarn I found it difficult to find a pattern that would not over shadow its beautiful colour. After a few days of looking at the patterns I have I came across the broken cable blanket pattern by Daisy Grey Knits and thought this would be perfect.

Full description
The pictures do not fully show how much this blanket catches the light. Its peach colour with tinsel like strands through it shines beautifully. Do not let the traditional tinsel feel fool you, this blanket is still soft to the touch while having that bit of sparkle come through.
This blanket would be perfect for when you have your baby or new born in their pram.
With this yarn being acrylic, it can be washed at a cool setting for convenience.
