The inspiration for this piece came from the idea of duality — how stillness and movement coexist in nature.
The shell’s firm centre felt like an anchor, while the soft fringe of tiny shells reminded me of ocean waves and the gentle continuity of life.
Still and Moving invites its wearer to embrace both — the peace of being grounded and the beauty of constant transformation.

Full description
“Still and Moving” is a handmade amulet crafted from a flat fragment of Scottish sea shell, soft beige in tone with natural white patterns.
Adorned with white and cream beads, soutache embroidery, and tiny shells gifted to me by a friend, it brings together elements of both grounding and motion.
The solid, central form represents stability and presence, while the delicate fringe of beads and shells symbolizes flow, rhythm, and change.
Handcrafted with care, this amulet embodies the harmony between stillness and movement — a quiet reflection on life’s balance.
