Have you started Xmas Shopping yet? If not, why not? Folksy is packed full of fabulous gift ideas and of course SPOONS are at the top of my suggestions list - they are long-lasting, planet-friendly, practical, postable and can be personalised to make the perfect gift for anybody, whether it's a budget buy for the office secret santa, a stocking filler for your partner, a joke present for your best mate or a classy offering for those well-off rellies who have everything (tip: I bet they don't have one of my spoons).
HOLIDAY DATES: Please note the shop will be CLOSED for Xmas from Tues 16 Dec to Fri 2 Jan inclusive so don't leave it too late to order your presents!
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
A hand stamped vintage nickel silver alloy fruit spoon with the words 'THE DARK SIDE' inside one edge of the bowl and the words 'OF THE SPOON' inside the opposite edge. It's a plain 'old english' style spoon measuring approximately 14cm long. Great for ice cream, puddings, or as a small soup or cereal spoon.
You will receive the spoon shown in the photographs. The lettering is stamped with vintage steel dies and coloured with a non-toxic and water-based ink. Wash carefully by hand as the colour is not indestructible - the lettering, however, is stamped into the metal and should last pretty much as long as the spoon does.
Please note this is a vintage spoon (I think it's 1940s to 1950s) so it does have scratches and wear marks although these in no way affect its functionality as a spoon and it is honestly shinier than my photos make it look. And as it's alloy rather than silver-plated, it's always going to have that wartime look, there's a slightly brassy tint to it no matter how much you polish it. I have reduced the price to a fiver and put it in the bargain bin anyway.
