I am proud to be half Welsh and really feel a connection to the landscapes there. Following my accident I got even closer to my dad as we compared experiences of his mini strokes to my brain injury. One thing we both shared was the importance of having roots especially when the world is turned upside down.
In this collection I explore these roots and their importance in life and our place in the world. Hopefully by looking at these pieces you will also take the time to think about your roots and where you feel you are most at home when life gets tough.

Full description
I don't paint a lot of buildings but when I do it's because that's where I'd be happy to live. This little cottage might be just in my head but it is inspired by so may little places that are buried away in the landscape far away from people and roads with just the local wildlife for company.
So if you're looking for an escape then this might well be the painting for you.
Dimensions: painting is 10"x8" and with the frame it's 11"x9"
