This portrait lino print of a screech owl, came into my head one day. Rather than feature the whole face, I thought just having it half visible would be interesting. I love using neon colours in my prints, and I thought neon, coupled with the perpetual 'night owl', made a great match.
I start with a basic design in Procreate, which I then print out and trace onto my linoleum. I embellish the design in the carving process, and sometimes don't know where my carving will take me! I love the process of lino printing, and always feel a rush for every print reveal after it's been in the press.

Full description
A4 unframed linocut print of a neon orange Screech Owl portrait.
It is an original art block print on 100% recycled and handmade paper. The off-white paper is textural and has a deckle edge.
A4 (8.25 X 11.7 Inches) in size. The design is hand-carved onto biodegradable lino and printed using my original design with eco friendly safe wash ink.
Packaged thoughtfully in a stiffened envelope ready to mount or frame.
The joy of lino printing is that each print is unique, but each beautiful in it's own way. The handmade paper itself has the odd fleck to add to it's appeal.
If you have any questions do feel free to get in touch and I'll be happy to help.
