I've always been fascinated by bird skulls ever since I found one as a child. It was so delicate and beautiful in its own right, with the black beak emerging from the mottled ivory bone. Corvids are everywhere here at my home at this time of year and I find them so magical, if a bit of a morbid portent. They always let me know when the wheel is turning into winter.

My Corvid Skulls are hand-made ceramic decorations, lovingly glazed realistically in both matt and crackle glossy glazes. Their crackle has been enhanced with ink to resemble real old bone. They have not been glazed on the very bottom to give them a little grip to surfaces you may wish to stand them on.
Each skull is made and glazed by me completely from scratch so no two will ever be the same. They would be perfect for your Halloween or Samhain altar or display.
I AM AN EARTHENWARE CREATION - that means that although I am beautiful and strong, I should ideally spend my life indoors. I can be put outside during warmer, dry weather but please take me back inside when it gets wet and cold so that the frost and damp don't cause me to crack,
Skull sizes are approx. 9.5cm long.
