It's now definitely Xmas Shopping time! Folksy is packed full of fabulous gift ideas and of course SPOONS are at the top of my suggestions list - they are long-lasting, planet-friendly, practical, postable and can be personalised to make the perfect gift for anybody, whether it's a budget buy for the office secret santa, a stocking filler for your partner, a joke present for your best mate or a classy offering for those well-off rellies who have everything (tip: I bet they don't have one of my spoons).

Another little vintage silverplate (EPNS) coffee spoon with an original cutout thistle design on the handle and a handstamped quotation from Robert Burns added by me in the bowl, along with a little 'X'. It's still the wrong time of year for both Burns Night and Valentine's Day but it would make a great gift on either of those dates, or a festive stocking filler, or a delightful small wedding or anniversary present on any day at all. And it's a bargain as well so what's not to love?
This listing is for ONE spoon. This one. It is approximately 11.5cm long. You will receive the spoon shown in the photographs. Please do look at the photographs to see the spoon's flaws, tarnish and wear marks in all their glory, all the reasons why it's in the bargain bin for just a fiver (these would normally retail for £9.50). The lettering is coloured with a non-toxic, water-based acrylic ink. Wash carefully by hand as the colour is not indestructible - the lettering, however, is stamped into the metal and should last pretty much as long as the spoon does.
