Woven in doubleweave - two layers woven together- in the softest Yorkshire-spun merino lambswool, Quarterdeck is an abstract postcard from Robin Hood’s Bay. An abstracted view from the Quarterdeck, the house with the best sea view, the sea wall, defences and the North Sea beyond. Woven in over 50 shades of yarn, individually placed, the design is double-sided with visual blending and Fibonacci shading, creating maximum visual interest and movement. The nearest this weaver can get to painting, each one took over 10 days to weave. Soft and warm, and plenty long enough for keeping the harshest weather away.
Measures approx 40cm x 220cm plus fringe.
