Meet Harry, Horrace, and Hector—the Hyraxes you didn’t know you needed. This mischievous trio has been carved from basswood using a single knife, then sanded smooth and brought to life with expressive watercolour and acrylic details. Sealed with Danish oil for a gentle sheen and lasting protection, they’re ready to perch proudly on your shelf, desk, or woodland altar.
Each hyrax has its own personality:
- Harry, the smallest, is the lookout—always alert, always scheming.
- Horrace is the brains of the operation, with a furrowed brow and a fondness for stolen biscuits.
- Hector, the base of the stack, is the muscle—gruff, loyal, and slightly baffled by the others.
They were carved in the quiet of a countryside studio, with red leaves drifting past the window and carving shavings gathering like confetti. Every wiry hair, fang tooth, and bushy eyebrow was painted with care, and a touch of storytelling magic.
Whether you're a collector of creaturely curiosities or simply in need of a tiny gang of guardians, this trio is ready to bring a bit of folklore and fun to your home.
