I love dandelions. I know that many gardeners dislike their capacity to seed everywhere, but they are so beautiful and such important plants for insects - especially bees at the start of each year. I will always leave some in my garden.
The seed heads are beautiful, so fragile with the nostalgia of lost days of childhood - I mean, who didn't 'tell the time' by blowing the seeds away? Turns out the seed heads take a lot of work to get right, I lost count of the the layers I painted to give them that fluffiness. The painting took way longer than you'd think, because of the seedheads!
It has been professionally mounted and framed using archive quality ivory mountboard and a simple solid oak frame.

A Gallo handmade professional & Jackman's handmade watercolours
Faber-Castell, Albrecht Dürer watercolour pencils
Liquitex Professional Acrylic Ink
Acid-free mount board
Solid oak, glass fronted frame.
