Jasper was favoured by the Ancient Egyptians who believed that the stone offered protection from negative energies. Picture jasper is thought to be a nurturing, protective stone, dissipating fear and bringing comfort.
Spinel is an aluminium magnesium oxide mineral that can be found in a variety of different colours, as well as colourless. It was first recorded in 1779 by J Demeste, and its name comes from the Latin word ‘spinella’ meaning ‘little thorn’. Spinel is often thought to be a stone that helps with the overall flow of human energy, compassion and empathy.
