The alchemy of creating patina is influenced both by the chemicals involved and the time taken for them to develop but also, heat and humidity, therefore each individual piece is utterly unique and organic.

The brass has been given a patina using ancient, natural techniques.
Please note that the earrings may differ slightly from those photographed.
These earring are hung on gold plated ear wires. The earrings measure approximately 6 x 3cm
The ephemeral nature of the metal and patinas means that over time they oxidise and change.
This piece has been finished with several coats of lacquer to protect it.
To prolong its wear do not let the pieces get wet or leave in damp, humid environments.
Raw brass can be gently cleaned with a bicarbonate of soda, vinegar and water paste but this must NOT touch patinated or painted surfaces.
When storing take care that the pieces do not rub or knock together.
