I live in Penzance, in the far south west of Cornwall with my husband, three sons, cat and dog.
Stuff Made From Things is my jewellery line, I design and make all the pieces myself. I studied Graphic art and Print Technology at Anglia Ruskin University a long time ago and have exhibited my art work and sold my jewellery nationwide.
Every piece is individually made by me in my studio in West Cornwall. Many pieces are hand decorated using steel punches that I inherited from my grandad or made myself, so are totally unique.
I work in silver, gold, brass, copper and aluminium and take inspiration from tribal and folk art combined with simple geometric shapes, texture and mark making. My jewellery is striking, easy to wear and affordable.
Jewellery is often given great importance either by society or the wearer, whether it is a royal crown, a simple token of friendship or a treasured family heirloom. Jewellery resonates with the energy of the maker or previous owner, the intentions of the giver and the feelings of the wearer.
I try to create pieces that hold stories and affirmations that empower and promote strength, love and positivity.
