I have a stall in a local business where there are a lot of aeroplane enthusiasts so I wanted to make a piece that would reflect this enjoyment of flight.

Full description
A fused glass celebration of adventures around the world, aircraft and flight. This piece features a hand painted globe in glass enamels with crushed glass giving added colour and texture, on a sky of blue, white and clear streaky glass. A white aeroplane with blue and red stripes flies over the world with its white vapour trail encircling the globe below.
I made this piece using sheet glass I cut by hand, crushed glass, glass stringers and glass enamels. The piece is 10cm x 10cm square, though some pieces have a wavy top edge as a result of the rolling process used when the glass is manufactured. Depending on where in the sheet of glass the base has been cut from effects whether the top edge is straight or more organic. Please message me if you have a preference regarding this when ordering a piece.
This piece comes with a stand. A lovely gift for any aircraft enthusiast or as a reminder of travels and adventure.
Please note I only charge postage and packaging for one item in an order, any additional items in the same order will not incur further P&P charges.
