Encountering an owl in the wild has always been a rare and special experience for me. Thus far the only species I have seen in the wild are Tawny owls but hopefully I will be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the others sometime.
I have always found great enjoyment in crafting animal figures, particularly those that incorporate a sense of movement and to that end I designed and made these owl decorations. My vision for them is that they give the impression of swooping gracefully around the branches of a Christmas tree, or wherever they are displayed.

Full description
Discover this unique collection of flying owl decorations, each one individually handcrafted to capture the essence and character of these majestic birds. While these creations are not intended to be exact replicas, they are inspired by three iconic owl species: the tawny owl, the barn owl, and the snowy owl.
The tawny and barn owl decorations have been carefully felted using a blend of coloured felting wool. Each is finished with black glass eyes that add a lifelike sparkle, and their beak has been carefully sewn with embroidery thread.
The snowy owl is crafted from pure white wool. Its distinctive markings are applied by hand using permanent ink, giving each owl a unique character. Bright yellow eyes and a sewn on beak complete the snowy owl’s expressive face.
The wings of every owl are meticulously needle felted and reinforced with a wire support inside. Both the wings and the tail are also carefully stiffened and pressed.
Each owl decoration has a total body length, including the tail, of approximately 9 cm. Their wingspan, with the wings slightly bent for a lifelike pose, measures around 12 cm.
Ideal for a hanging decoration year round or as a unique addition to an eclectic Christmas tree.
These are purely decorative and are not toys as they have wire supports in the wings and small parts.
