This piece is part of my Ntombi collection, inspired by the Zulu word for “girl.” The designs celebrate femininity, resilience and creativity, with each element chosen to reflect a sense of growth and renewal. The hand-painted wooden beads form a butterfly centre, symbolising growth and renewal, while the soft cotton fringe adds movement and texture – a reminder of freedom and flow.
The colour palette of pink, cream, yellow and white is uplifting yet calming, designed to bring light and positive energy into your home. Whether displayed on its stand or hung on the wall, this piece was created to be a celebration of handmade artistry and the beauty of everyday spaces.

Part of the Ntombi collection – named after the Zulu word for "girl" – this handcrafted artwork celebrates transformation and creativity. Made with vibrant cerise pink and cream cotton cord, the circular design is centred with hand-painted wooden beads arranged in a butterfly motif. The butterfly, a symbol of growth and renewal, is brought to life with warm pink and yellow tones that radiate positivity and joy.
Measuring 30cm in diameter, the piece is finished with a bold cerise pink fringe that adds striking texture and presence. It can be displayed on its sleek black stand for a sculptural statement, or hung on the wall as a unique focal point. Perfect on its own, as part of a collage, or styled together with other designs from the Ntombi collection.
