This piece is part of my Ntombi collection, inspired by the Zulu word for “girl.” The designs celebrate femininity, resilience and creativity, with each element chosen to reflect a sense of warmth and joy. The hand-painted wooden beads form a flower-like centre, symbolising growth and new beginnings, while the soft cotton fringe adds movement and texture – a reminder of freedom and flow.

Part of the Ntombi collection – named after the Zulu word for "girl" – this handcrafted piece celebrates softness, strength and creativity. Carefully made with cotton cord in pink and cream tones, the circular design is brought to life with hand-painted wooden beads, forming a flower-like motif in bright yellow and white. The outer edge is finished with a textured fringe, adding a playful yet elegant touch.
This versatile piece can be displayed in two ways: mounted on its sleek black stand for a striking decorative accent, or hung on the wall to create impact on its own, as part of a collage, or styled together with other pieces from the Ntombi collection.
