This vase began with the idea of transformation and originality—taking something as ordinary as pine pallet wood and reimagining it into a form not often seen. I wanted to create a shape that was unique and unusual, angular rather than traditional, so it would stand out as a sculptural piece as much as a vase.
The dark oak stain was chosen to highlight the grain and give depth, allowing the reclaimed pine to feel both rustic and refined. By pairing it with dried flowers, the piece celebrates contrast: sharp lines with soft textures, the rough history of pallet wood with the elegance of its new life.
