IN June 2025 I watched the annual Isle of White Yacht Race...this year it was won by an 84 year young Peter Cunningham. It was a wonderful sight and I was inspired to capture the event in a quilt!

Full description
This unique patchwork quilt was designed and made by me in my small sewing room in the heart of England. It features white sailing sailing yachts and shoals of brightly coloured fish swimming in a deep blue sea. I created a circular design to represent movement.
The quilt is made from 100% cotton fabrics. The top is pieced in 3" squares and half square triangles. The batting/wadding in the middle has a low loft and soft drape. The backing is pieced in a fun 'jelly fish' and black cotton design. It has been quilted in a grid pattern.
This 'one of a kind' quilt has been sewn to be used and loved...it can be washed and dried in a domestic machine on a low setting. It will become softer with washing and wear.
