I had been collecting the 'Dancing Dahlia' fabrics [Marshall Dry Goods] for a while, then happened upon 'Celestial Skies' [Benartex] and they seemed to 'want to be together!' I designed the pattern for this quilt and the name 'Dancing in the Dark' was born! A Bruce Springsteen hit...it seem to marry well with the fabric and the movement of the blocks. Hope you agree.

Full description
This Handmade Patchwork Quilt has been designed and lovingly sewn together by Diane Davis. I have called this one 'Dancing in the Dark'! It combines six different colours from the Dancin Dahlias collection Marshall Dry Goods and three 'Celestial Skies' Benartex. A dazzling combination of brights; floral mixes in rich tones from yellows, oranges, pinks, blues, greens and purples with a soft grey/white. It is backed in a glowing yellow/green earthy jewel dahlia cotton.
A combination of blocks are used in the design to create fluidity and movement. The top and backing are 100% quilting cotton. The middle/batting is 100% cotton.
It has been quilted using a traditional cross hatch design.
At 60" square 153cm it is a great size for a bed topper or throw.
It has been robustly made and can be washed and dried on a cool setting in a domestic machine.
It will become softer with wear and use.
