This design was inspired by my love of red, white and blue – colours that remind me of the sea and also of my adopted home of Britain. I’ve always been drawn to lighthouses, with their lonely beauty and noble purpose, standing tall to light the way for lost souls. Bringing these themes together in fabric felt natural: the stripes echo the colours of deckchairs and vintage swimsuits, while the lighthouse embroidery captures both strength and comfort.
