When I had to give up my previous work as a bookbinder, I turned to my sewing machine, making small items to help organise and store things for me and my home. Colourful fabrics were a natural choice. I also like to bring a touch of nostalgia, using gingham and polka dots for a homely feel.
Handcrafting is a very personal activity. Adding hand-embroidered personalisation is a way of including my customers in that process. I make the item, but they know the person they're gifting to. Together, we make useful, handcrafted, joyful gifts for the people they love : )
