I found this little button while foraging in woods near an abandoned cottage in Co.Cork. It was still holding onto the wire from the coat it once belonged to. A Czech glass button, full of charm and mystery, felt like a tiny piece of someone’s story, waiting to be told again.
I couldn’t let it stay forgotten. So I made a mould and used silver clay to bring its lovely details back to life. The clay picks up every fine line, and I chose to leave out the middle to let the floral border really shine. The result is a pair of earrings that feel both vintage and fresh - like something passed down, but made new.
A tribute to the overlooked and the discarded, they offer a new life to a forgotten treasure, refounded and reimagined as wearable art. Each pair is finished recycled sterling silver ear wires, continuing the theme of renewal and sustainability.

Inspired by a vintage Czech green button, these earrings celebrate delicate detail and thoughtful design. I created a mould from the original button and used silver clay to capture its intricate floral border, leaving out the central part to let the outer pattern truly shine. The result is a unique and elegant pair of earrings with a timeless feel.
Silver clay is a sustainable material made from 100% recycled silver, sourced from items like X-rays, photographic by-products, and electronics. It’s blended with a plant-based binder and water, allowing it to be shaped like traditional clay. Once fired, the binder burns away, leaving behind pure fine silver.
Each pair is individually handmade, so no two are exactly alike. I usually have more than one pair in stock, so the earrings you receive may differ slightly from those pictured - but each pair carries the same spirit and story.
