This rug is inspired by African textiles, art, and culture, particularly the Mgbolodi (Wedding Flower) motif, which represents love, unity, and community. By re imagining this traditional design through tufted textile art, I aim to celebrate heritage while creating a modern piece that brings the richness of African creativity and symbolism into the home.

Wedding Flower “Mgbolodi” Rug 60x60cm
This circular tufted rug features the traditional Mgbolodi (Wedding Flower) motif, a design symbolising love, unity, and new beginnings. Handmade with care, each petal is brought to life using high-quality acrylic, polyester, and cotton yarn on a hessian base, finished with natural latex for strength and durability. Measuring 60cm x 60cm, it’s a versatile piece that can be used as a rug, hung on the wall as textile art, or placed as a decorative centrepiece in the home.
