I am an illustrator, specialising in children's illustration. I find I am naturally drawn to characters and like making characterful ceramics animals.
The animal heads start as a ball of clay which I move around in my hands, pulling and squeezing with my fingers until they start to resemble an animal. I then go with it!

Full description
'Mummy Bear.' A ceramic bear animal head hand made and hand painted by me. It will make a lovely addition to a mantelpiece, to an eclectic shelf, a quirky paperweight or a desk buddy.
It also makes a lovely pairing with 'Daddy Bear', my other ceramic bear head listed.
