I love making figures of dogs - they have so much character.
I started making figures of my own dog, Morris.
He's in one of the photos.
I love them as a collection.

Small ceramic dog head - think it's a mixture of a Great Dane,Saint Bernard and maybe a Bullmastiff? It's very cute and friendly anyway! And has a manicured fringe.
Hand made and hand decorated.
I don't work from reference pics unless it is a commission, so it's quite possible that to you it may look more like a cow!
White stoneware clay, fired at 12140 degrees C.
Decorated with watercolour underglazes and underglaze pencils. There are some lovely splodges of colour on this one, And it is so smooth - it was dipped in transparent glaze before the last firing.
Some people like to keep these in their pocket, for holding and touching.
Maybe you would like me to make you a figure of your special pet to put in a pocket and carry with you for ever?

Not glazed on the bottom and has a flat back so that it can be perched against a wall for display if you wish.
Will be carefully packaged in a cardboard gift box.
