We have given homes to Degus for over 15 years, all but our first two have been rescues. We started Totally Degu when we could not find suitable treats and toys for them, so we started making our own, this led to us selling them to other Degu owners. We now have 18 Degus in the Totally Degu family (8 girls & 10 boys) and we know they take a lot of looking after but are lovely, curious, intelligent pets.

Designed specifically with degus in mind this easy to attach shelf accessory is hand-made from degu-safe materials and provide hours of fun for your inquisitive pets and a safe, comfortable place for your Degu to perch. This is equivalent to three of small platforms we sell making a long version to make an excellent extra level to your pet’s cage.
Why buy our shelves?
Our Degus love these platforms and settle on them in preference to the standard wooden or metal shelves. The shelf is held securely in place with a bolt, which fits almost all cages by a wingnut and washer on the outside of the cage and they can be placed anywhere in the cage unlike some platforms.
Your pets will love to run, climb and sleep on these platforms which can be attached to the side of the cage to provide a run for your Degus and an extra level in the cage.
Also, we sell shelves without the bolt so you can replace the shelves when it becomes worn or dirty for less cost than having to buy another bolt. Our fixings fit our entire platform range allowing you to mix and match when buying the refill shelves once you have the fixings.
