I carved this striking and individual ring from a single piece of Whitby Jet. I set small pearls into the head of the ring for a lovely contrast.
Jet is an organic, comparatively soft fossilized wood material, of which only Whitby Jet is of sufficient quality to create jewellery pieces. Whitby Jet dates back in history to the Jurassic period, compressed over millions of years.
Quality pieces can be used to create beautiful 'Jet Black' tactile pieces of jewellery.
As this ring is made entirely from Jet, it is suitable for occasion wear with care.
