Full description
This textile art picture is of the sun rising over the sea. The picture has been created using strips of coloured silk fabric blended with wool and silk fibres, which have been needle felted to a felt base. The background is created using strips of silk fabric blended with wool and silk fibres. The headlands have been cut from a piece of handmade felt has then been added and silk fibres used to create the surf. The rising sun and associated colouring of sky and sea has been created using woollen fibres. The needle felting process binds the fibres and fabric together without the need for stitching and adds texture to the surface of the picture.
The picture has been mounted using a black and white card mount, and can be purchased mounted or mounted and framed in a simple black frame, dimensions given below.

Mount/frane size 10"x 8"
The frame has a hanging loop and a prop stand allowing the picture to be hung on the wall or freestanding.
