These fiery drops of opal are just so pretty. I wanted to set them in a feminie way to maximise their colour play. Inspired by flower buds on my fushias, I came up with this design - I hope you like them.

Full description
Gorgeous Ethiopian Opals are the focus of these pretty sterling silver earrings, hand made in my home studio in Hampshire.
The opals have a creamy base colour and feature bright red, green and orange flashes when moved in the light. The opals drop elegantly from sterling silver fluted cups which hang from dimond shaped, textured ear studs.
The ear studs have been cut from sheet sterling silver, which I textured with lace fabric in my rolling mill. This process presses the lace firmly onto the silver sheet, leaving the texture and pattern of the fabric on the metal.
The earrings have been finished with post and butterfly fitments, for pierced ears.
The earrings drop 2.5 cm approximately.
These would make the perfect, elegant gift for anyone celebrating their birthday in October, as Opal is the birthstone for October.
The earrings will come packaged, ready to be presented as a gift.
