On a gloriously sunny bank holiday I just needed to feel the love in a very bright and cheerful way so this is what I made. Hope you enjoy it.

Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A rainbow heart picture.
I've made 5 hearts in the first 5 rainbow colours using two tones for each colour. .The other two rainbow colours: indigo, violet complete the rainbow round the frame.
I've used lots of different glass types as well as colours with texture and streaks so this piece has lots of movement as well as being very colourful.
I've infilled the spaces between the heart and the frame with iridescent clear glass and it gives the piece a lovely shimmer.
I've added a twisted wire frame round the suncatcher for strength and neatness.
It looks wonderful in the window with the sun casting the rainbow colours which change with the light,
This is 16.5cm wide and 14cm high and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached to the top of the suncatcher.
It can hang in a window or just against a wall and it is would make a wonderfully bright addition to any room.
I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure it is unique.
