I was commissioned by Overton Parish Council and the Jane Austen Trails Project to illustrate their walking and cycling trails relating to Jane Austen, for inclusion in the official leaflet and information board.
This inspired me to paint the Places and landmarks special to Jane, and create the 'Jane Austen's Places' Series, also called my 'Paint and Paintabiltiy' series!

Jane Austen is one of the world’s most enduring authors, and 2025 marks the 250th anniversary of her birth.
Part of my Jane Austen’s Places series, this painting captures Chawton Cottage, Hampshire, where Jane lived for the last eight years of her life. Here she wrote and revised all six of her novels, and part wrote Sanditon before moving to Winchester for health reasons, where she sadly died.
The Cottage is now a Jane Austen's House museum and a Grade I listed building.
Open edition Giclee print, individually titled and signed by myself. The original painting is created with pen and ink with watercolour.
The print is UNMOUNTED and UNFRAMED. Paper Size 32cm x 22cm
