Legend of the Christmas Spider
A poor but hardworking widow once lived in a small hut with her children. One summers day, a pine cone fell on the earthen floor of the hut and took root. The widow's children cared for the tree, excited at the prospect of having a Christmas tree by winter.
The tree grew, but when Christmas Eve arrived, they could not afford to decorate it. The children sadly went to bed and fell asleep.
Early the next morning, they woke up and saw the tree covered with cobwebs.
When they opened the shutters, the first rays of sunlight touched the webs and turned them into gold and silver. The widow and her children were overjoyed.
This why we now have tinsel and why hanging a Spider in your Christmas tree is good luck.

This listing is for one spider. Please note the last picture shows a different spider and is to show the monofilament 'spider silk' that she will be supplied with. This will be in a hanging kit consisting of the 'spider silk' and a small hook. You can use this kit to hang her from your Christmas tree, plants, shelving ect or leave it off and have her as a stand alone decoration.
Your spider will be carefully packaged in plastic free recycled packing; size 13cm x 10.5cm x 7.2cm.
